I’ve always felt it important that everyone no matter how insignificant, unimaginative, ugly or unemployable should either have a meaningful hobby or an existence, or at the very least a Wish List that could change ones world. Of course this means slotting said list into a schedule that is feasible or if all else fails delegate said tasks to a subordinate ensuring one takes the credit for all things.
Its a bit like the researchers trick. For instance- in Academialand one gets the students to write the paper whilst the Team Leader (Lecturer) simply puts his or her name to it- thus facilitating future recognition and funding for other projects..
My Wish List of course has nothing to do with recognition, its purely based on practicality and need. And is by definition one of those things that one simply must do before one sheds the mortal coil.
